We build practice tools for job seekers. This site exists for one purpose: to let applicants rehearse the typing test their job requires, under realistic conditions, and see honestly whether they meet the requirement before the real assessment.
Why we built it
Many entry-level and office jobs still use a timed typing test as a hiring filter. General typing games measure speed on random words, which is not what employers test. Real assessments use workplace documents full of names, numbers, codes and punctuation, apply error penalties, and often have a pass mark. We wanted a tool that matches those conditions.
How the content is made
Every passage is original and written to resemble documents handled in the target occupation, based on public task descriptions such as the U.S. Department of Labor O*NET occupational profiles. All people, organizations, addresses and identifiers are fictional. Numbers inside documents, such as invoice totals and claim payments, are checked automatically so they add up.
How scoring works
We use the conventional five-character word, net WPM with a one-word penalty per uncorrected error, and alignment-based accuracy. The method, its limits and our sources are published in our editorial and scoring methodology.
What we are not
We are not affiliated with any employer, government agency or testing company, and our results are not certificates. A passing practice result does not guarantee a passing score on an employer's test.
