Haptic Touch duration

Most people call this how long you hold before a menu appears.

You can make touch and hold menus appear faster or slower, which helps if they either never appear or appear when you did not want them.

Questions people actually ask

Why do menus pop up when I scroll?
Haptic Touch is firing too easily. Set the duration to Slow under Accessibility, then Touch.

If it is not working

  • This replaced 3D Touch, which was pressure sensitive and present only on iPhone 6s through iPhone XS.
  • Touch Accommodations offers finer control including hold duration and ignore repeat.
