Accessibility - physical and motor

Alternative ways to touch, press, hold and control your iPhone.

Back Tap

Available

A double or triple tap on the back of your iPhone can trigger an action such as a screenshot, the torch, or any shortcut you choose.

Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Back Tap

AssistiveTouch

Available

A floating on screen button gives you access to gestures and hardware button functions that would otherwise need a physical press or a multi finger gesture.

Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch

Reachability

Available

A short swipe down at the very bottom edge slides the whole screen down so you can reach the top one handed.

Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Reachability

Voice Control

Available

Voice Control lets you tap, scroll, type and navigate entirely by voice, with numbered or named overlays showing what you can say.

Settings > Accessibility > Voice Control

Haptic Touch duration

Available

You can make touch and hold menus appear faster or slower, which helps if they either never appear or appear when you did not want them.

Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Haptic Touch

Touch Accommodations

Available

You can set how long a touch must last before it counts, ignore repeated touches, and choose whether the first or last place you touch is used.

Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Touch Accommodations

Eye Tracking

Available

The front camera follows where you are looking, and holding your gaze on an item selects it.

Settings > Accessibility > Eye Tracking

Switch Control

Available

Switch Control scans through items on screen and lets you select them with an external switch, the screen itself, or head movement detected by the camera.

Settings > Accessibility > Switch Control
