Reset Keyboard Dictionary

Most people call this making the keyboard forget what it has learned.

This clears every word the keyboard has learned from your typing, so autocorrect starts again from scratch.

What it does

The keyboard learns words you type repeatedly, including mistakes it decided were deliberate. Resetting removes all of them. Text Replacement entries are not affected.

Questions people actually ask

How do I fix autocorrect learning the wrong word?
Reset Keyboard Dictionary clears everything it has learned, or add the correct word under Text Replacement.

If it is not working

  • Try adding the problem word under Text Replacement first. That is less drastic.
  • The keyboard will take a few weeks to relearn your vocabulary.
