Auto-Correction
Most people call this the keyboard changing words as you type.
Auto-Correction replaces what it thinks are mistakes as you type, and a newer behaviour underlines corrections so you can tap to undo them.
This setting is present on your iPhone.

What it does
It uses an on device language model plus your own typing history. Recent releases mark each automatic change briefly so you can revert it with one tap.
What changes
When it is on
Words are corrected automatically as you type.
When it is off
Nothing is changed without you choosing it. Typos stay as typed.

- Much faster typing for most people.
- Corrections are now easy to undo with a tap.

Questions people actually ask
- How do I stop autocorrect changing my words?
- Settings, then General, then Keyboard, and turn off Auto-Correction.
- How do I stop one specific word being corrected?
- Add it under Text Replacement with itself as the phrase, and the keyboard stops fighting you.
If it is not working
- Text Replacement is the fix for a word that keeps getting corrected wrongly. Add it as its own shortcut.
- Reset Keyboard Dictionary clears the learned words if it has gone badly wrong.
- Predictive Text and Inline Predictions are separate switches on the same screen.
