Keyboards
Most people call this adding languages and third party keyboards.
You can add keyboards for other languages, emoji and third party apps, and switch between them with the globe key.
This setting is present on your iPhone.

What it does
A third party keyboard can be granted Full Access, which lets it send what you type to its developer's servers. Without Full Access it works offline only.
What changes
When it is on
Extra keyboards appear behind the globe key.
When it is off
Only your primary keyboard is available.

Good reasons to turn it on
- Type in more than one language.
- Specialist keyboards for symbols or coding.
Good reasons to turn it off
- Full Access means a third party can see everything you type.
- Too many keyboards makes the globe key tedious.

- Is it safe to install a third party keyboard?
- Only if you trust the developer. Full Access lets it transmit what you type.
If it is not working
- Never grant Full Access to a keyboard you do not trust completely.
- Remove the emoji keyboard if you never use it and want a simpler globe key.
- A missing globe key usually means only one keyboard is installed.
